Hello everyone! I wanted to take a few minutes to update everyone on some upcoming things and reminders for this week.
Remember that this week is stripe week. Those who are on the testing list below should do their best to achieve their last remaining stripes to be eligible to take the exam. For those who forget… here’s what each stripe represents.
1st Stripe – Basic Block, Kicks, and Strikes

3rd Stripe – Knowledge/Teminology and Protocol

5th Stripe – One Step Sparring

SELF-DEFENSE SEMINAR – OPEN TO THE PUBLIC

We are pleased to announce our first special seminar event for the year. Our Self-defense seminar is open to the public for those 16 years and older. This is perfect for those who want a crash-course in some basic self-defense skills for the uncertainty of an ever-increasing dangerous world. We will cover basic strikes, escapes, basic grappling, situational awareness and warrior mindset, as well as a basic framework for weapons defense. BLACK BELT 65% QUALIFYING EXAM – NEW INFORMATION!!
The date for the first black belt pre-exam is Friday 3/20/2026. 5:30pm
ANYONE who holds the rank of RED and above is invited to come an ‘try’ it.
ANYONE who is eligible in the year 2026 (even December final) is invited to also try it as an accurate way to determine level of readiness You know… for the fun of it.
Other Black Belt Test Dates:
April 24 – 75% Qualifying Exam 5:30pm
May 15 – 85% Qualifying Exam 5:30pm
June 6 – PMAA Black Belt Final Exam @ RMAI 10:00am
