YOUTUBE LIVE with Master Michael Celona & Sensei Chris Hanson: In the lead up to our joint seminar mid-month. Sensei Chris Hanson and I will be doing a few Youtube LIVE streams where we will be exploring some techniques and self-defense skills. Our preview stream will be tomorrow night during our 6:30 class on our YouTube channel (www.youtube.com/mastermcelona), and then Friday 5/3/24 part 2 will be at 4:00pm on The Karate Unity youtube channel. MARTIAL FUSION 2!
Speaking of the seminar, We are once again hosting Sensei Chris Hanson from Karate Unity for our Martial Fusion seminar. May 18-19, (Saturday and Sunday) This year will be an expansion on concepts and drills covered from last year's event. This year we are already planning some extra special things... REFERRAL CONTEST & REVIEW CAMPAIGN
For the entire month of May we are running a referral contest and review campaign. For those who don't know, a referral contest is simply bringing a friend (or family member) to try classes with you. In addition, for the month of May, we are relaxing our uniform requirement for new people, so your friend or family member can try out class without having to purchase a uniform. ALSO.. we will be allowing PARENTS who want to try class to be in the same class WITH their child. Parents of course have the option to attend the more appropriate 6:30 class if they so choose, but we wanted to allow the opportunity to train with their child. See below for a list of rules for our referral contest. The first place prize for the contest will be a Century Martial Arts VERSYS Wavemaster! (or similar one in value) Second place prize will be a VISA gift card. We will be drawing a winner on Friday May 31st.
Additionally, it's been almost four years since we've had a campaign to ask for positive reviews. Recently I looked at our reviews and realized they were almost all from 2020, and 2021. Search engines like to see these types of things updated regularly... and I'm very lacking in keeping up on that. See the direct link to leave a review below. If you've see a positive and dramatic change in your child or yourself, please leave us a review. We are also planning on filming a few reviews on the day we have the photo shoot. If you'd feel comfortable enough to be on camera and give a testimony on your martial arts experience here at RMAI. We are filming those on photo day May 13th. We would humbly ask everyone to participate in both events.. the highest compliment you could ever give to your studio would be share your progress and growth with a friend and invite them to try out classes, or leave us a positive review.

The contest will run the entire month of May for all of the days we are open for business. (May 1 -May 31)
Students, Parents, and Friends can participate as early as TODAY (May 1)
Drawing of the prizes will be on Friday May 31st, at 8:00pm

** HOW TO PLAY:
For every item listed below, students will recieve ticket(s) which will be put in a fish bowl to be drawn at the end of the month.
1 ticket = Leave a postive review online for our studio
(different family members can leave reviews for additional tickets)
2 tickets = Bring a friend or family member to class and they must participate = (can attend more than one day for additional tickets)
4 tickets = Video Review (film with your phone and send it to me, or be at the studio on 5/13/24 to film.)
5 tickets = Friend or family member purchasing a 4 week Trial membership at $49.99
10 tickets = Friend or family member enrolling as an official RMAI student.

GUP TESTING
Monday May 6th is our next gup testing. The following people are eligible for promotion. Testing will be done during regular class times. Those who successfully pass the exam will receive their new ranks on Friday, May 10 at 7:00pm. This list is subject to change and is contingent on students being awarded all proper stripes for their current rank. Best of luck to you all.

5/13/24 PHOTO DAY: Monday May 13th we will be having our annual visit from Robertson's Martial Arts Photography for photo day. There will be no classes that evening to make room for Mr Robertson and his equipment. His expertise in pulling the most photogenic martial arts techniques from the students is second to none. Each year, students who get their photos done, end up on one of our yearly photo boards (the ones in the foyer). So come and get your pictures done on May 13th.
SUNDAY 5/19/24 FUN FAIR Swarthmore Towne Center - Also happening after the FUSION II seminar is our annual table at the Swarthmore Fun Fair located in downtown Swarthmore. There will be plenty of food and activities, be sure to stop by and visit. As of right now, we are scheduled to be at table number 64.
NO-BOHK CLASSES 5/20-5/23
We are bringing back the popular NO-BOHK class! All Classes for the week of 5/20-5/23 will be in the NO-BOHK format... meaning students are permitted to wear regular workout clothing, NO Dobohk or Belts required. Athletic Shorts, or even uniform pants with t-shirt is ok.... it's up to you.
MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND: STUDIO CLOSED FOR CLASSES 5/24-5/27
FREE INTRO DAY: 5/31/24 7:00PM
Have you or someone you know been interested in trying martial arts but maybe have been too apprehensive or skeptical to make that first step? Well, I’ll let you in on a little secret, those feelings are totally normal. That’s why we’ve created a special RMAI intro class specifically for any newcomers who are interested in not only training their body but their mind and spirit as well. This will be a great chance to see what our martial arts training is all about without the added pressure of sparring black belts or doing flying headbutts through cinderblocks…we’ll save that for your second class. SUMMER SCHEDULE & DAYTIME CLASSES:
On Tuesday May 28th, our Summer Schedule will take effect. Note the adjustment in times for the Young Gladiators class, and the addition of our Intro Classes and Daytime Training classes. Daytime training will not be in effect until June 17 to coincide with Summer Camp
BEACH WORKOUT 7/27/2024
Our Annual Beach Workout will once again be held in Ocean City, NJ. The date is Saturday July 27th, 9:00am. all students are invited and encouraged to attend. The studio will be closed that day. Students who make the trip down for the training will be given double class credit.
END OF SUMMER IN-HOUSE TOURNAMENT 8/24/2024
A great end to the summer event. Price will be $40 and will include all events. Trophies and Medals will be given for winners in Forms, Breaking and Sparring.
All students under the age of 18, and under the rank of black belt will be permitted to parcipate
RMAI CHALLENGE CUP: Bringing it back this summer... stay tuned.
BEGINNER'S BRAZILIAN JIU-JITSU:
Students who are interested in the BJJ class, are permitted to try it out. The trial program is the same as the Karate program (4 weeks for $49.99). The only difference is that you have to purchase a BJJ Gi (uniform) as your Pilsung Dobohk will rip.
This program is NOT open to Little Champions, and Young Gladiator students need special permission by Master Celona if he determines you'd be good for the class.
Anyone in the 6:30pm class should be able to participate.
